Manufacturer since 1953, we propose a wide range of products:
Our products are distributed in the retail market as well as in the cash and carry. The Belgian market remains our first income source, but more and more we concentrate on the export by selling our products in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Italy, Ireland, Sweden and Australia.
A human-sized family company
These days competition plays a key role in the economic system, that's why we opt for differentiation, a strategy which requires constantly flexibility and speed of execution what big multinational companies in the food sector cannot always claim.
The company, run by Philippe and Elvira Renson, occupies at present about fifteen persons and shows a turnover of about 3.500.000 EUR. Since 2005, the new generation has gradually made its entrance into the company with Laurent Renson (2005) and Raphael Renson (2011).
Flexibility is a key to our success, as we never reject a request until we have explored all possible solutions. Thus, we obtained various certificates by launching Kosher and Halal products.
Thanks to our responsiveness and dynamism we are able to offer a wide array of packaging for our product range, from 180 ml glasses to 10 L buckets, and even a 1000 L container.
We market our products under the brands "FILOU" and "La Delicieuse", but mainly under private label.
A little bit of history...
Founded in 1953 by Franz Schumacher, La Conserverie et Moutarderie Belge started with mustard prducts.
In 1983 the company was taken over by, one of the step-sons of Mr. Schumacher, Philippe Renson. From this moment on the family business sees its activities extended from mustard to sauces and ready-made meals.
The traditional vol-au-vent becomes the real engine of Conserverie et Moutarderie Belge which has seen its sales growing from year to year. Several large contracts with supermarkets in Belgium have reinforced this trend.
A superior quality thanks to all prevailing standards
Worried about the health and about the safety of our consumers, we respect the strict rules governing the food sector (HACCP,...). This is translated in particular by our BRC certification.
Indeed, we grant all our attention both on a rigorous control of ingredients, raw materials and on a constant quality of the finished product.
